Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m the maker of Dnipro.
If you’ve ever looked at a LinkedIn profile and thought “something feels off, but I can’t put my finger on it”, then this is for that moment.
Dnipro is a small Chrome extension that reads the LinkedIn profile you’re currently viewing and checks it against seven signals that frequently show up on fabricated profiles:
- How recently the account was created
- Whether they ever set a custom profile URL
- Photo presence and timing
- Network size relative to claimed experience
- Technologies listed in roles that ended before those technologies existed
- Identical phrasing reused across different employers
- Social proof weighed against actual network size
One signal means almost nothing. Several together is a pattern worth a second look.
It doesn’t score people. It doesn’t ban anyone. It just quietly flags things that are easy to miss when you’re screening fast.
Built for recruiters, hiring managers, and anyone who has to decide whether the person on the other side of a message is real.
Would love your honest feedback, especially if you work with high volumes of inbound profiles.
Thanks for checking it out.
This is actually pretty clever. I like that it looks at a few different signals instead of just trying to label a profile as fake. Definitely seems useful when you’re screening a lot of people. Congrats on the launch! 👏

Who hunted Dnipro?
Dnipro was hunted by Yevhenii Lymar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
