DMOnly: Screen Time & Focus
Block by default. Earn 15-min windows. No cheating.
DMOnly locks distracting apps by default. When you really need them, open a 15-minute window — apps auto-lock when time's up. 2 free or 10 Pro windows/day. No extensions, no override. The blocker for people who've gamed every other blocker.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built DMOnly because I've installed and uninstalled every iPhone app blocker — Opal, Freedom, ScreenZen, One Sec. They each work for about a week. Then I find the workaround: "ignore for
today," "stop session," "uninstall and reinstall later."
The problem with most blockers: they're built around the wrong default. Your apps are unblocked; you set rules to block them. Every rule has an escape hatch you'll eventually use at 11 PM on a
Sunday.
DMOnly inverts this:
• Your distracting apps are locked by default, all day
• To use them, you open a 15-minute window (iOS API minimum)
• The window auto-closes — no opt-out, no "10 more minutes"
• Fixed daily quota: 2 free, 10 on Pro
The quota is the real friction. Once spent, you're done for the day. Adding more requires uninstalling the app — a much bigger barrier than tapping "ignore."
iPhone-only right now. $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr after free tier. No tracking, no analytics, no leaderboards — just one mechanic that takes the decision out of your hands.
Honest asks:
1. Try it for 3 days and tell me where it breaks
2. What's missing for it to be the only blocker you need?
3. Does the pricing make sense?
I'm solo on this — happy to answer anything in the comments today.
