I'm Jakub, founder of DM Hero.
Writing to prospects on Instagram by hand, remembering who already got a follow-up and answering replies late at night had turned into a second job for us. So we built the tool we wanted to use.
How it works:
1. You import your own prospect list as a CSV. DM Hero does not find prospects for you.
2. Our Chrome extension sends the cold DMs and follow-ups from your own logged-in Instagram account, at a human pace: random gaps between messages, a daily limit, quiet hours, and it pauses itself when Instagram pushes back.
3. When someone replies, the AI Setter (built on Anthropic's Claude) answers through Meta's official Instagram API, as drafts you approve or on autopilot. It qualifies, answers price questions from your brief, handles objections and sends your link: a booking page, an offer or a checkout. When a lead needs you, the thread is flagged and the setter goes quiet.
The honest part:
• Two channels. The inbox and the AI Setter run on Meta's official API. Cold DMs do not: the extension sends them through Instagram's web interface, from your own session.
• Cold DMs carry account risk. Pacing, limits and automatic pauses reduce it. They do not remove it.
• You need an Instagram Business or Creator account, and Chrome open on a computer while the queue is sending.
• If you only need automatic replies to people who comment or message you first, a tool built for inbound will fit you better.
