diVenuo
Booking software for barbers, tattooists and dog groomers
Most booking tools are one calendar with a different logo on top. diVenuo is built vertical by vertical. Tattoo studios get a body map, one code per tattoo across every session, and a quote before any calendar. Dog groomers get time that scales with the dog: same service, 80 min for a small one, 180 for a big one. Barbershops get a one-tap walk-in queue. Every shop gets its own page and brand, and deposits land straight in their own Mercado Pago, with no commission per booking.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I started this by looking at how appointments actually get booked where I live. I went through 83 shops around Buenos Aires. About 8 in 10 take bookings by DM or a phone call, and only 6% use any software at all. For tattoo studios it was worse: 72% booked through Instagram DMs and not one used a platform. My competitor was never Calendly or Fresha. It was a DM.
My first assumption was that I would build one good booking system and swap the logo per shop. That broke fast. A dog groomer told me she had switched off a feature I was sure was great, which is how I found a problem nobody was ever going to file. A tattoo artist explained that his work is a conversation, a quote, and sometimes five sessions, not "pick a service and pay."
Then the data settled it. Two hair salons run on diVenuo. In one of them, 94% of appointments are walk-ins. In the other, 12%. Same product, same city, opposite businesses. I had been building for an average customer that does not exist.
So it got rebuilt vertical by vertical. Tattoo studios get a body map, one code per tattoo that carries across every session, and a quote before any calendar shows up. Dog groomers get pet profiles and time that scales with the dog: same service, 80 minutes for a small one and 180 for a big one. Barbershops get a one-tap walk-in queue, because for a lot of them the appointment never existed in the first place.
What I still have not solved: the owner has to model all of that by hand, service by service. I want it to be one screen instead of a dozen cards.
I built it end to end on my own, around a full-time job and an engineering degree. Happy to answer anything, and if you run a shop like these I would rather hear what is wrong with it
Love that the body map and per-tattoo code are first-class instead of bolted on, that kind of vertical thinking usually shows up in the small details after a booking. Also the variable time per service feels like something every groomer has been quietly begging for.
