I was deep in a project and needed an animation. Something that looked like organisms moving under a microscope. Abstract, looping, a little alive.
I couldn't find a tool that did exactly what I had in my head.
So I built one.
Using Claude Code, I spent a weekend building Dithr a browser-based editor for creating looping dithered animations. Pick a noise pattern, choose your dithering algorithm, set your colors, export a GIF, APNG, or Lottie file in seconds.
What started as scratching my own itch turned into something I wanted to share with other designers and builders.
