Restaurant menus are a mess — PDFs, dead links, rarely a photo of the food. DishDraw fixes that for Berlin. See every restaurant near you, sorted by distance, with its full menu — sections, prices, portions. Craving something? Search the dish, not the place: type "schnitzel" and get every spot that has it, with prices and distance. Plus a map, hours and policies. Menus are added by locals — snap a photo, our AI reads it into clean items, each reviewed before it goes live.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I built DishDraw out of a very specific frustration: in Berlin I could never actually see what I was about to order. Menus are PDFs, half the links are dead, and almost nothing shows the real dish, the portion, or an up-to-date price.

DishDraw is the app I wanted: open it, see every restaurant near you with its full menu, and — my favourite part — search by dish instead of by place. Type "schnitzel" and you get every spot that serves one, with prices and distance. There's a map, hours, and the little details (cash only, no wifi, closed Sundays) that decide where you actually go.

The hard part is keeping menus fresh, so anyone — waiters, owners, regulars — can add one by snapping a photo; our AI turns it into clean items and every submission is reviewed before it goes live. It's starting in Berlin, one menu at a time.

I'd love your feedback: when you're deciding where to eat, what's the one thing you wish you could see before you go?

Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Note: Google Play app is under review and waiting 14 days testing phase to be completed

Meanwhile, I am building a whatsapp community also. If you are willing to post menus from your city or Berlin and support us I am dropping the link:

Comment highlights

how does the AI actually handle messy handwriting or faded print on those menu photos, and what happens if a local submits something the reviewer can't verify

How does the AI handle handwritten or stylized menu photos from places with messy or artistic fonts, and what happens when locals contest an AI-read item?

Finally someone untangled Berlin's menu chaos. Searched schnitzel and got actual prices and walking distance for each spot, no fluff. The locals-snapping-photos thing is smart too, the AI reading handwritten menus is wild.

Curious how the AI handles handwritten specials or items scribbled on chalkboards — does it need a super clear shot or can it deal with messy lighting and weird fonts pretty well?
