DishaBot is an AI Vedic astrologer that lives on WhatsApp. Horoscope apps send everyone born in the same month the same forecast; generic chatbots "read" kundalis they never computed. DishaBot calculates your real planetary positions from your birth date, time & place, interprets them through a Vedic-trained AI, and remembers your chart and past conversations. Works in Hindi, English, or Hinglish — even mid-sentence. No download. Say "Hi," ask your real question. Free to start.

In India, astrology isn't a novelty — it's how millions of people think through marriage, career moves, and timing. But access still works the way it did decades ago: you wait for an appointment, you pay by the minute, and the question that's actually keeping you up at 2 a.m. waits politely for office hours.

Then came the "AI astrologer" wave, and it had a quiet problem: ask a general-purpose chatbot to read your kundali, and it will confidently generate a reading without computing a single planetary position. Fluent, eloquent — and built on a chart that never existed.

DishaBot is our answer to both.

How it actually works:

🪐 Real math first. Your planetary positions are calculated from your birth date, time, and place — precise astronomy, as Vedic methodology requires. The AI is never allowed to invent a chart; it only interprets one that's already been computed.

📖 Domain training, not internet averages. The interpretation layer is trained on classical Vedic principles — not the statistical soup of horoscope columns a general model falls back on.

🧠 Memory. It stores your chart and context about you, so Thursday's "and what about my health?" connects to Monday's career reading.

🗣️ Hindi, English, Hinglish. It detects and mirrors your language, even when you switch mid-sentence — because that's how India actually talks.

💬 On WhatsApp. No download, no form. Open disha.bot, say "Hi," share your birth details, and ask your real question. Free to start.

The biggest lesson from building this: the WhatsApp plumbing took a couple of weeks. Making the AI actually do astrology instead of just sounding like astrology — that turned out to be the real product, and it's ongoing.

One promise we're strict about: your birth details exist to cast your chart and personalise your guidance. They stay confidential, and they are never training data.

Would love your feedback — especially from anyone who's built conversational products or cares about grounding LLMs in domains where answers can be checked. Ask DishaBot the question that's actually on your mind, and tell me where it falls short. I'll be here all day answering everything. 🙏

DishaBot was hunted by Kushagra Saxena. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
