The EU AI Act's transparency rules (Article 50) apply from August 2, 2026 : to anyone whose chatbot or AI features reach EU users, not just to OpenAI. Answer 8 questions and get your obligation checklist: chatbot disclosure, AI-content marking, deepfake labels, emotion recognition notices. Free, no signup, runs in your browser.
Hey PH I'm Alexis, an engineering student in Lyon.
While researching the AI Act I noticed something odd: everyone talks about it as a Big Tech problem, but the transparency rules cover *deployers* — the company that puts the chatbot on its site, not the company that trained the model. That's basically every SaaS with an AI support widget and EU customers.
The advice out there is either "hire a lawyer" or an enterprise compliance suite. Neither helps a 5-person startup with a deadline 8 weeks out. So I made the diagnosis part free: 8 questions, your obligations, the actual article references.
I'm building the implementation part (a disclosure widget with an audit trail) — waitlist is on the site if that's useful to you. But the checker is free forever and I'd love your feedback on it. Especially the edge cases I got wrong.
