CA AB 1609 and EU AI Act Article 50 (live since Aug 2026) made your support chatbot a regulated surface — fines attached ($5k/$10k per violation in CA; up to €15M or 3% of turnover in the EU) plus a 12-state disclosure patchwork. DiscloseKit audits your setup: a 0–100 compliance score, per-requirement pass/fail, which regimes apply to you, and a fix-first gap report ordered by penalty exposure. Six checklists + a runnable FastAPI checker. Audit aid, not legal advice.

I built this after CX Network's Oct 11–12 coverage of the chatbot-disclosure laws made the fine schedules impossible to ignore: CA AB 1609 ($5,000 first / $10,000 subsequent) and EU Article 50 (up to €15M or 3% of worldwide turnover, in effect since August 2026), plus 12 US states with disclosure rules where only CA and WA mandate frequent reminders. The gap I kept seeing: teams know the rules exist but can't tell which of them apply to their bot, or which gap to fix first. So the kit's core is a runnable checker — POST your setup, get a 0–100 score and a fix-first list ordered by penalty exposure. Missing in-moment disclosure while serving EU users hard-caps the score at 49, because Article 50 makes it non-negotiable. Happy to answer questions on the regimes or the scoring model. Note: this is an audit aid, not legal advice — verify against the statutory text and your counsel.

Who hunted DiscloseKit?

DiscloseKit was hunted by Haku. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
