Disciplines: App Blocker
Screen time blocking that's tied to your tasks and habits
Disciplines connects screen time blocking to your actual tasks, habits, and goals, so distraction management is tied to your own routine instead of being a standalone toggle. Set up tasks, build habit streaks, run focus timers, and let app blocking back up the plan instead of fighting it. An analytics page shows where your time actually goes over days and weeks, not just today. Built solo as an iOS app, meant to give you something concrete to redirect to instead of just another lock screen.
Hey Product Hunt, excited to share where Disciplines has landed.
It started from something dumb and specific: I'd set a Screen Time limit, then tap "Ignore Limit" about fifteen seconds later, every time. The block itself was never the real problem, it was that once I got knocked out of an app I didn't have anything else lined up, so I just tapped back in out of boredom.
So the app ties your tasks, habits, and goals to the actual blocking instead of keeping them as separate tools. Start a focus session and it locks the distracting stuff while pointing you at what you're supposed to be doing that day. There's also an analytics page, so you can actually see how your focus time and habit streaks add up over weeks instead of just guessing.
Still built and maintained solo. Would genuinely love to hear what you think if you give it a try.
