Hey Product Hunt 👋!

I’m Paul, founder and CEO of Browserbase.

We each have a browser on our computer, but when you can run hundreds of them in the cloud and let AI use them, it becomes really powerful. That’s why I built Browserbase, the #1 place to run browsers in the cloud.

Today, we’re democratizing the power to automate the web. With Director, anyone can design repeatable browser agents with just a single prompt in natural language.

When you tell Director to “find me a developer on UpWork.com with web automation experience”, our agent uses its own browser to accomplish your task click by click. You can watch the agent take each step, click on buttons, fill forms, navigate to different websites, and extract or download useful data.

Our agent is excellent at fetching you data that isn’t easily scrapeable, such as government registries, multi-page reports, websites that need a login, etc. Using our powerful Stagehand framework, Director can fill nearly any form and automate tedious submission work.

Director works completely hands-free, so you can spawn many of them to operate over thousands of websites, such as municipal websites that vary slightly by each region.

For sensitive steps, such as logging in, Director will hand off control to you, so you can securely login yourself or use our native 1Password integration. None of your credentials will ever be seen by the agent.

Every step taken by the agent is repeatable. As your agent navigates around the web, it records its actions into reliable Stagehand code. You can deploy your workflows into production so they can run repeatedly over many queries or on fixed schedules.

Our users find Director really excels at:

1. Fill out tedious surveys or forms 1000x
2. Monitor government public records, fetch new PDFs each day
3. Given an unknown URL, find a way to extract a nugget of data
4. Decide if a website is well-designed and accessible
5. Verify that an professional is legally licensed
6. Check if a business is ADA-compliant using Street View
7. Manually move entries from one CRM to another

I’d love to hear more success stories from you. Head over to Director today and give the agent your most ambitious web task!

Love how easy you guys made browser automation. Quick question: this is such a competitive space. How do you intend to differentiate yourselves above the noise?

@paul_klein We are exactly looking for something like this atm. Just tested via the UI and worked very well! Is there an API as well?

Looks very solid guys. Great job on the launch aswell! Small question, can director be used to automate engagement on social media platform (e.g. likes, comments, view stories) on your behave? And is there a way to have multiple automations running for different users (e.g. and Agency running automations for multiple clients)?

Interesting. I needed something like this months ago. Will remember for the future.

never seen a web bot slip through Gmail and Amazon antibots! are you guys adding any proxy or stealth features under the hood?

So your agents are pre-programmed to go to specific URL's and interpret the information on each page and return back with the information that you told it to get? Seems very cool - I like the possibilities I see with using agents.

Very into how this outputs repeatable code and not just prompting, bullish.

1password integration is sick!!! How does authorization work since the agent never accesses our credentials?

Hi @paul_klein

I tried accessing Director, and the experience was not good. The site is not very intuitive. There's no video, no instructions, and it does not appear to allow me to connect and authenticate the various tools and accounts I would use agentically around the internet. I submitted several prompts for seemingly basic tasks and received the attached error message. There were no instructions or solutions to solve the issue, and there's no way to research what this means or how to fix it. There is also no option to contact support or chat with someone. I recorded a Loom video, but Product Hunt wouldn't let me attach the link.

I could be using the site completely wrong, but if I am, there's a chance others may as well. If you send me instructions, I'm happy to try again.

I love Browserbase and these new integrations are exciting to see.

I'm going to seize this opportunity to ask a technical question - if I have an iOS app that's triggering a Browserbase session in the back-end. What's the best way to enable my user to login securely to a web account without my application seeing any sensitive information?

I keep getting "Failed to great workflow." I tried both on Chrome and on Dia.

This looks awesome, very thoughtfully designed. The ability to have one click deploy that can run on a recurring basis seems so useful as well.
