I built Dino because I believe the joy of programming is in the struggle and the solution — not in handing it off to an agent and rubber-stamping the result.
Most agents optimize for "how long can it run without you?" I think the right metric is: how effectively do you and the AI work together?
So Dino does a few things deliberately differently:
• Everything is staged — Dino never writes to disk without your approval. You review every change, leave inline comments, selectively accept or revert, and only then apply.
• Truly model-agnostic — Switch from Claude to GPT to a local model mid-conversation. All tool calls, staged edits, and context carry over.
• Fast enough to stay in the loop — Batch operations and lean context management mean you iterate in seconds, not minutes.
