Dim Sum
Powertoy to track your Codex/Claude Code usage and outages
Dim Sum is a free macOS menu bar app with two applets. Sputnik shows Claude and Codex usage limits, provider status and estimated spend. Saga records voice notes, transcribes them on your Mac and sends them to your Pachinko inbox. Unlike other usage apps we also focus on service outages and common repairs to your CLIs. We also have very easy to use "resume session" support to get you back into your context.
While building and supporting Pachinko we tried several macOS apps to track our AI usage and honestly most of them are terrible. None of them really helped you keep Codex or Claude Code up to date and working correctly, tracked service outages or helped you resume sessions. So, we built Dim Sum. Even if you don’t use Pachinko give Dim Sum a try on your Mac if you use Codex or Claude Code at all. There are of course bonus features if you do have Pachinko installed. I use Dim Sum every day and the ability to resume a session is worth it alone.

Who hunted Dim Sum?
Dim Sum was hunted by Gary Caldwell. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
