Local-first is the right call for this category, most meeting recorders quietly assume you're fine with audio going to their servers. The System Audio + mic capture on Mac is what got my attention since most competitors only do one or the other. Congrats on the launch, going to try it on my next few calls.
You chose a no-account, no-subscription, iCloud-sync-optional model. What tradeoffs did that force (collaboration, cross-device reliability, support/updates), and how did you decide those were worth it versus a server-backed approach?
I really dig the design and overall vision here. Awesome job @kremenskoy. I know the focus is on-device privacy but I'm curious if there's a way to allow users to allow their AI Assistants to search through the notes as well.

Recording mic and system audio as separate streams is a clever way to keep "you vs everyone else" fully on device. And transcript search that jumps to the exact playback moment is the detail most notetakers skip. Does the Apple Watch transcribe on the watch itself, or hand recordings off to the iPhone or Mac?
How well does the speaker separation work when several people are talking at the same time?
I like that there’s no account or subscription involved. For something handling meeting audio, keeping the seyup simple feels like the right approach.
I’ve been following this one for a while, and I’m really happy to see Dictantor finally launch! The local-first approach to storing and processing recordings is an awesome feature!
