We’re excited to share something we’ve been working on for months: a complete redesign of Diarly for iPhone!
Why did we redesign Diarly? Journaling should feel calm, seamless, and personal—especially on the device you carry everywhere. While the previous layout worked, we saw room to improve navigation, visual clarity, and overall flow. So we went back to the drawing board and reimagined the iPhone experience from the ground up.
We asked ourselves: How can we make daily journaling more enjoyable and intuitive—without losing Diarly’s core simplicity?
This update is our answer.

Today Tab – Your new hub for quick insights, featuring widgets like “On This Day” for a clear, at-a-glance overview
Customizable Journal Pages – A fresh, card-based layout that makes each journal feel personal and organized

Huge congrats on the redesign of Diarly for iPhone! I’ve been journaling with the Setapp version on my Mac‑iPhone loop for a few weeks and the upgrade feels noticeably snappier—Markdown still shines, but the new mood tracker + Health sync is the bit that’s nudging me to write every day.
As a regular (not power) user, I’d love a lightweight AI recap tool, seamless cross‑links to Noteplan or Canva, and branded PDF export to make Diarly a true all‑in‑one journaling hub.
Everything else—encryption, calendar view, iCloud sync—already nails the essentials. Excited to see how you keep layering power features without losing the clean writing canvas. Great work! 🚀

I havve been trying to journal more regularly but most apps feel cluttered or just too ‘meh’ to stick with. The new Today Tab and card-based layout look super inviting and clean, definitely feels more encouraging to open daily. Is there any sort of daily reminder or gentle nudge to help stay consistent (as someone building a journaling habit)?
