Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built DevJSON because I was tired of having a graveyard of bookmarked "JSON formatter" websites, half of which were slow, ad-stuffed, or quietly questionable about what happens to the data you paste in.
As a developer, I wanted something that:
Opens instantly in a new tab
Handles JSON and XML (XML tooling online is surprisingly bad)
Lets me actually explore the data — not just pretty-print it — with a real tree view and copyable paths
Never sends anything anywhere, because pasting production API responses into a random website is a bad habit I wanted to break
DevJSON is the result. It's intentionally simple: no accounts, no cloud sync, no "upgrade to Pro to copy more than 3 paths" nonsense. Just a clean, fast, keyboard-friendly tool that does one job well.
This is an early release and I'm actively shipping improvements — diffing, more formats, and export options are on the roadmap. I'd love your feedback on what would make this part of your daily workflow.
Thanks for checking it out! 🙏
