Desktop Destroyer is a free browser toy for letting off steam. Smash, saw, burn and stamp a fake retro desktop with 9 weapons, then wipe it clean. No signup, no download, nothing saved. Built with vanilla JS, Canvas and Web Audio.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Remember those old desktop toys where you could shoot up your own screen? I wanted one that ran in the browser, with nothing to install, so I built it.
What you get
🔨 9 tools: hammer, chainsaw, machine gun, flamethrower, paint launcher, laser, stamps, termites and a water pistol
🖱️ A Win95-style cursor mode: drag icons, marquee-select, right-click menus
📸 Paste a screenshot of your own desktop (Cmd+V) and destroy that instead
💾 Save the wreckage as a PNG (Cmd+S)
🧽 Press C to wipe the screen clean
It's free, needs no signup, and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved.
Try this first: press 8 and click once. One click means one termite. Watch it chew its way across your screen.
I'd love to know: which weapon is your favourite, and what should I add next? Thanks for stopping by!
Relive your childhood nostalgia with Desktop Destroyer. Blowing termites up with a flamethrower will help with your stress too - that’s a guarantee!
