Hi Product Hunters. Let me introduce – DeskMinder². The biggest and completely free update. This is my second product launch. The app has come a long way and has been completely reimagined. Now it’s not just a reminder, it’s also a tool for task focus.
Key changes:
A completely reimagined app, with every pixel on the screen refined
Added modes to switch between tasks and reminders
Redesigned fullscreen notifications
Improved and refined design – now truly glass-like and flexible
Introduced an experimental Audio-Haptic effect
Added the ability to animate the Menubar icon
New screen showing the full history of all tasks and reminders
Quick reminder rescheduling now available
Improved integration with Apple Reminders
Custom shortcuts added, along with the option to quickly cancel a timer
Performance and all animations significantly optimized
App size reduced by more than 60x
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback 💚, ideas, and suggestions for improvement.
You know I always listen and continuously work on making the product better.
Congrats on the DeskMinder launch! This app has been a game‑changer for me over the past six months. I love how effortlessly I can set quick reminders and tasks right from my desktop and the full‑screen alerts are exactly what I needed to stay on track
Just gave DeskMinder a spin, the full-screen reminders are exactly what I needed to snap back into focus.
That audio-haptic combo is wild in the best way.
Cool tool! What’s the biggest productivity boost your users have seen after using DeskMinder?
@dmitriychuta As a coder who gets too focused, this tool is perfect! Gentle full-screen notifications are exactly what I need to remember other priorities. Great job – it's going into my workflow!
There’s something comforting about how direct this is. No logins, no syncing, no pressure to organize my whole life, just a simple way to remind myself of what’s important in the moment. I can see this replacing a lot of my post-its and random text files.
Most ‘minimal’ apps sacrifice function—yours packs insane utility into every pixel. That task history screen alone would save me 10 ‘Wait, what was I doing?’ moments a day. (Petition for Android next!)
Huge congrats on the launch of DeskMinder²! 🚀
I’ve already tried it and love how simple and effective it is. It really helps me stay focused throughout the day. Wishing you continued success and lots of upvotes today!
Very cool. Will try. Since my ADHD made it impossible to finish watching the video I have a question: Is the idea to replace my todo list?
