I built Deskepty because I wanted a faster and cleaner way to organize my desktop workspace without relying on heavy or overly complicated tools.
The project started as a personal workflow utility and slowly evolved into a fully customizable desktop organizer focused on productivity, flexibility, and low resource usage.
One of the main goals was to keep the app lightweight while still offering features like drag & drop organization, transparency controls, smart search, group customization, backup/import support, and workflow-focused shortcuts.
It’s completely free, and I’ll continue improving it over time based on feedback and real-world usage.
