Desk Rug lays a real cloth rug on your Mac desktop a physics-simulated piece of fabric that unfurls from a roll, can be grabbed by any edge, dragged, folded, and left to sag like actual cloth.
The point: before you share your screen, you want your desktop to look clean in one second. Sweep your icons into a pile under the rug, and put them back around the edge later. The global hotkeys (configurable) toggles both ways, and there's a per-day schedule too.
What's under the hood:
– Icons tumble into a real pile via Finder, not a fake overlay
– The cloth bulges over hidden icons

– Built-in rugs + Floor textures (plus your own images)
– Space switching swaps rug/floor/size as A/B profiles
– 13 interface languages, everything runs 100% locally
It's based on MIT licence app, but better, improved and stable.
Heads up for macOS users: the app isn't notarized yet, so on first launch you'll see "unidentified developer" — right-click the app → Open (or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway). It also asks for Accessibility + Finder Automation permissions so it can actually move your icons.
