DesignLumo turns your ideas into fully editable, ad-ready designs instead of flat AI images. It can understand layout, typography, and color structure for you, then gives you real design you can adjust. No digging through templates or rebuilding everything again in template apps. Type a prompt, get a polished design, tweak anything you want, and export.
Hey everyone 👋 I’m Shajin, founder of DesignLumo, and today marks my first ever Product Hunt launch.
I built DesignLumo after running into the same problems again and again: 1. AI models generate good-looking images, but they’re locked. 2. Template tools feel slow when you want something unique and fast.
DesignLumo lets you type a prompt like “Instagram ad for a coffee shop, minimalist, bold headline” and get a fully editable design with real layers. Change text, fonts, colors, layout, anything.
I’d love your honest feedback:
Is having editable outputs actually more useful than flat AI images for you
What would you use this most for: ads, client work, agencies, social content
What’s one feature that would turn this into an everyday tool for you
I’m around in the comments all day. I’m early in my founder journey and genuinely want to learn from this community.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to check out DesignLumo 🙏
Most AI design tools stop at “nice image.” The fact that you’re generating editable layouts is actually the missing piece for anyone who needs to ship real ads or client work. That part really stood out to me.
For me personally, I’d use this for ad variations and quick social creatives - anything where I want AI speed but still need control.
One thing I’d love long-term: being able to generate a few variations in one go, especially for A/B testing.
Anyway, this looks super promising. Wishing you a great launch day, man. Keep building 👊
Great idea! As a designer myself, I find myself wanting to focus on building products more than dealing with layout, type, etc. since it's busy work, and I can tweak them if they need help (AI will always need help) :)
Nice, can you upload your own design and edit them without losing image quality?
Hi Shajin,
Super impressed with the product!
Tried many tools in the market before this but DesignLumo’s quality stands apart. And the fact that the output is editable makes it even better.
All the best!
I used to rely heavily on Canva because it made getting started effortless. Templates cleared the initial creative block and helped me dive straight into design.
I have tried many Gen AI design tools since then, but DesignLumo is the first that gives me genuinely usable results. The out-of-the-box quality feels solid, and switching to the editor for quick tweaks is smooth and intuitive.
Curious: how does DesignLumo handle brand consistency across multiple outputs?
Congrats on the launch Shajin! 👏
A platform like DesignLumo is something that I always wanted and wondered why it never existed.
Curious, how are you going to differentiate with competitors like canva, adobe etc
This looks fantastic! The product has really evolved since the last time I saw it.
Hey, Shajin!
Cool work man, best of luck and product looks nice 👍
