YouTube Studio only adds or removes text at the start or end of a description. Description Modifier finds and replaces any text anywhere in your descriptions — across all your videos at once, with a safety preview.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Katy, and I built Description Modifier on my own.
What inspired it: every YouTube creator hits the same wall. A sponsor changes their link, a price goes up, or an affiliate link breaks. Then you open every video one at a time and retype it. YouTube's built-in bulk edit can only add a line to the top or bottom of your descriptions. It can't reach inside them.
So I built the inside version. Pick a phrase, see a preview of every video it will change, and replace it across your whole channel in one move. You can undo it if you change your mind.
Along the way, creators asked for more, so it now also:
- Makes chapters from your captions in one click
- Finds broken links before your viewers do
- Checks that every affiliate link has its FTC disclosure next to it
- Runs campaigns that change descriptions and switch them back on their own when the campaign ends
- Rewrites and translates with AI
It works on Chrome and Edge. You get 3 free runs with no card, and there's a demo you can try without signing in. If you just need a one-time cleanup, the $5 Day Pass gives you 24 hours of everything, and it ends by itself.
I'd love your honest feedback: what's the most annoying thing about editing YouTube descriptions for you? I read and reply to every comment.
