Deroom helps you see how any furniture will look in your actual room before you buy. Upload a photo, explore different furniture styles and layouts, and compare ideas without moving a thing. Make confident home decisions with realistic previews and a growing library of inspiring room transformations. Join the waitlist and be among the first to try Deroom.
Hey All! 👋 I started building Deroom while renovating my own home. I kept finding sofas, chairs, and decor that looked great online or in a showroom, but I couldn’t confidently answer one simple question: Will this actually look good in my room? At first, I tried using general AI image generators with simple prompts. The results were unpredictable: furniture changed randomly, proportions were inaccurate, room details disappeared, and the original lighting was often lost. It was difficult to make a real purchasing decision based on those images. That experience led me to build Deroom. It combines carefully designed prompts with additional image-processing techniques to make furniture replacement more controlled and accurate. The goal is to replace the selected item while preserving the room’s layout, perspective, surrounding details, and lighting, so the result feels like a believable preview rather than a completely regenerated room. The workflow is simple: upload a photo of your room, choose or upload a piece of furniture, and preview it in your space. It also works for offline shopping: photograph furniture in a store and see how it could look at home before buying. Deroom began as a furniture replacement tool, but it’s evolving into a broader visual decision-making experience for comparing styles, exploring layouts, and finding inspiration from real examples. I’d love feedback from the Product Hunt community: What would make a furniture preview feel accurate and trustworthy enough for you to use before making a purchase.
