Top comment

Hey Product Hunt, I built DemandHunter as a small tool I wish I had when I was validating product ideas. As indie makers, we often start with a guess: “Maybe people need this.” But it is easy to spend weeks building something before realizing the demand was weak, unclear, or based mostly on our own assumptions. DemandHunter is my attempt to make that early research step a little easier. You can enter a product idea or market direction, and it will look through real conversations from Reddit, X, Hacker News, GitHub, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the web to find pain points, demand signals, alternative requests, and possible product opportunities. A report includes: * demand score and signal strength * key pain points * representative evidence * opportunity cards * MVP suggestions * validation strategy It is not meant to replace talking to users. I see it more as a starting point: a way to get out of your own head, see what people are already discussing, and decide what is worth validating next. I hope it can be useful for indie hackers, solo founders, and developers who are trying to build products with more evidence and less guessing. Would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.
