I built DELO because every "wellness" app I tried wanted me to keep everything — streaks, archives, a searchable history of my worst moments. But some thoughts aren't meant to be curated. They're meant to be let go.
You write an entry, encrypt it, time-lock it — and when the lock expires, you let it go in a short guided ritual. Watching a thought you've carried for weeks actually leave is surprisingly physical.
Two quick things upfront:
Core journaling is free, forever — full letting-go ritual, no paywall on the practice itself. Paid tiers unlock history tracking and AI insights.
Privacy is architecture, not a setting — AES-256, on-device keys, no ads, no data brokers.
Privacy Shield (patent pending) — the part I'm proudest of.
It's not a hidden folder — it's a second, fully independent encrypted vault with its own key, never derived from your real one. One PIN opens your real vault, a different PIN opens a decoy with its own believable content. Same UI either way, no tell.
Biometric unlock (Face ID/Touch ID) routes to the decoy by design — so someone compelling you to unlock with your face gets the decoy, not your real entries. And it re-locks the moment the app backgrounds, so one forced unlock doesn't grant standing access.
This was built for people whose device isn't fully their own — where privacy isn't a preference, it's a safety requirement.
