Instead of removing your ability to choose, it helps you become aware of your behavior while you're using YouTube. By combining customizable interventions with behavior-aware systems, including adaptive reflection prompts, visual feedback, session timelines, and multiple intent modes. The extension encourages intentional viewing over passive consumption.
I built Deliberate YouTube after realizing I kept opening YouTube with a purpose and leaving hours later wondering what happened. Instead of blocking YouTube, I wanted to build something that helps people notice when they're drifting into passive scrolling while still letting them stay in control.
