I kept having the same annoying routine before buying any game: open 5 tabs, compare prices manually, forget which store actually had the best deal. So I built Degoran to do that automatically — answer a few questions about what you're in the mood for, get 3 recommendations, see live prices across stores in one place.
The trickiest part was the recommendation logic — a rigid "sort by rating" approach kept recommending the same big-name games to everyone, so I moved to weighted scoring that actually reflects genre preference and discovery mode (do you want a blockbuster or a hidden gem?).
This is a solo build, still very fresh — genuinely want to know if the recommendations feel accurate and if the price data is useful. Ask me anything.
the seven-question setup was painless and i actually trusted the picks it gave me, and the price comparison saved me a few euros on a steam game i was about to buy at full price. nice little tool.
This looks great for someone like me who's picky about session length. One thing that would really help: let me save a list of wishlisted games directly from the matches so I can check prices later or see when they go on sale across those EU stores.
