As an IT administrator and software developer, I have seen many organizations of various sizes rely on Microsoft Defender for protection instead of a third-party antivirus product. Thousands of machines use the robust security engine that comes built into every modern Windows OS. What was missing was visibility and central management: one place to see the protection status, be notified of any threats detected, and take action remotely. The same was true for Windows updates, which were hard to manage without a third-party tool and per-device fees.
I built DefenderMon precisely to fill that gap. To provide a solution for the many companies that don't have third-party antivirus and patch management products.
