Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Alex, the solo developer behind DeepPane.
**Why I built this**
I code with ambient videos in the background — rainy cafes,
forest streams, late-night libraries. But I kept hitting the
same wall:
The video ends. Flow broken. Five minutes hunting for the next one.
No way to say "play for 90 minutes then stop."
My perfect scene + music combo? Gone the next day.
So I built DeepPane to fix my own problem.
**What makes it different**
Most ambient tools are players. DeepPane is a session composer.
The difference: a *session* combines a background scene,
a music queue, a duration, and a saved setup — all in one layer.
You pick it once, it runs, you stay focused.
One click tomorrow. Same atmosphere. No setup tax.
**What's inside**
-50+ curated scenes (4K where it matters)
- Music queues: jazz, piano, nature sounds, lo-fi
- Session duration: 25min Pomodoro to 12h deep work
- PiP mode: ambient presence while you work in other apps
- Focus Together: shared rooms for virtual coworking
- Free tier has full content access — Pro removes usage limits
**Tech stack (for the curious)**
Chrome MV3 · Cloudflare Workers + D1 + R2 ·
Private media delivery with signed URLs
**I'd love your honest feedback on three things**
1. Does "session composer" make sense, or is it too abstract?
2. What ambient scenes would actually help your focus routine?
3. Is usage-based Free/Pro the right model, or would you prefer
a feature gate instead?
I'll be here all day. Ask me anything — about the product,
the tech, or why I think YouTube ambient videos are secretly
the most underrated productivity tool that nobody talks about.
Thanks for being here. 🙏
— Alex

Who hunted DeepPane?
DeepPane was hunted by Alex. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
