yo, I'm beyond excited to introduce two FREE new products, Audialab Engine and Deep Sampler 2. tl;dr: We're launching two game-changing FREE tools: Audialab Engine and Deep Sampler 2. Run cutting-edge AI models locally on your computer to generate and modify any sound you can imagine, right in your DAW. No coding skills required. This is the future of music production, and it's available now. Download and start creating: https://audialab.com/products/de... first look: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/UUGB9_leDsY our predictions: First, a bit about our prediction for the future of music creation. We believe the future of creating music is human artists using amazing, professional AI-powered tools that improve our workflow and expand our creative design space. Currently, the AI models powering AI tools are proprietary and owned by music tech companies, often sitting behind features like "AI assistants" or generative tools like Suno, Udio, or even Emergent Drums and Infinite Packs from Audialab. In the future, we think these models will become democratized, with no small set of companies controlling the pace of innovation. We'll have thousands of different models to choose from, each specializing in a different part of music production and offering its own tone, functionality, performance, and more. We'll see competition among (and incentives for) model creators, which in turn will drive innovation and creative possibilities, with the artist as the ultimate beneficiary. We think this is a dope future. And we know it's possible because we've seen this paradigm shift happen in the open source LLM/chat assistant world. We think the same is coming to music. In fact, there's already a small but vibrant open source community gathering around models like Stable Audio Open, a free and open source model by Harmonai. Tech-savvy artists are taking this revolutionary new open model and releasing custom versions of it (called "finetunes"), trained on custom, curated datasets and for different purposes. But, in general, artists can't easily access this innovation because doing so requires deep technical skill including programming, using command line terminals, or configuring servers. With this perspective, we've been working on the next generation of Audialab products and platforms that lean into this vision of the future. The first major investment in this direction, and the backbone of the next generation, is the Audialab Engine. introducing the Audialab Engine: Audialab Engine is our new platform for downloading, running, and using open source generative models for actual music production locally on your computer. It's designed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and music creators, eliminating the need for technical expertise. Key features of Audialab Engine: • Easy installation and setup. Just double-click it and it runs in the background in your system tray. • No programming or command line required. • Local processing for more flexibility. • Support for multiple open-source models. Consumer hardware has become much more powerful in the three years since we started Audialab. Running generative models on computers back then was not a great experience, so we built our plugins to offload all that to our servers. By building on top of Audialab Engine, we can finally make plugins that run locally on your computer - no more internet required. And beyond that, you'll be able to plug in different models from the community to get the exact sound you want - no more waiting on us to add models. Leveraging the power of the Audialab Engine, we're proud to introduce our first plugin built on this revolutionary platform: introducing Deep Sampler 2 The successor to our groundbreaking Deep Sampler and the first plugin built on the Audialab Engine, Deep Sampler 2 is our revolutionary new VST/AU plugin that brings the power of AI-generated audio directly into your DAW. Deep Sampler 2 allows you to use your words to describe the sounds and effects you want. You can generate new sounds, or you can modify your existing samples. Key features of Deep Sampler 2: • Generate new custom samples or modify existing ones. • Use your words to describe the sounds and effects you want. • Create drums, melodies, textures, and more – not just limited to percussion. • Load custom models directly from Hugging Face or from your hard drive. • Harness cutting-edge AI right in your DAW, with no coding required. • Break through creative blocks with AI-assisted sound design. With Deep Sampler 2, you just pick a model and the only limit is your imagination. Both Audialab Engine and Deep Sampler 2 are completely FREE, reflecting our commitment to democratizing AI in music production. In the near future, expect new versions of our products built on the Audialab Engine. why this matters The team at Audialab has one mission: Build technology to enable (not replace) artists and protect the human creative spirit. We're honored to stand with and support the open source community to help accelerate towards a future of music creation that is equitable, inspiring, and open. We'd love to hear what you come up with. Please post your creations or thoughts in our discord: https://discord.com/invite/MHvEr... ✊🏼 berkeley
