Hey Product Hunt!

I'm Ruud, one of the founders of Deenez. I'm excited to finally share what I've been building!

Why I built Deenez

Managing DNS shouldn't be as frustrating as it often is. When you're managing multiple domains across different DNS providers, things can get messy pretty quickly. Records are scattered, it's not always clear why a record exists, even a simple DNS change can be hard and there is no audit when and who changed it.

I wanted to build something that makes DNS management more organized, transparent, and less error-prone.

What makes Deenez different?

Deenez brings DNS management into one place, with features designed to make everyday infrastructure management easier:

  • Multiple DNS providers: Manage domains across providers like Cloudflare, Route53, TransIP, Hetzner, OXXA of Neostrada from one dashboard. We're also working hard on more integrations.

  • Organized DNS records: Group related records and add comments so you always know what they're for.

  • Resource linking: Link DNS records to servers instead of manually maintaining IP addresses.

  • Scheduled changes: Prepare DNS changes ahead of time and let Deenez apply them when needed.

  • SPF management: Build complex SPF records and use SPF flattening.

  • Change history: Keep track of DNS modifications with an audit trail.

  • Expiration dates: Set expiration dates for temporary DNS records.

  • DNS propagation: Monitor how your changes propagate across DNS servers.

And we have some features on the roadmap:

  • Uptime monitoring: Get notified right away when one of the records seems to be offline.

  • TTL Warmup: Lower the TTL ahead of a scheduled change to prevent waiting a long time for the propagation.

  • Rollback changes: Straight from the audit trail back to a previous version.

Who is it for?

Developers, sysadmins, DevOps engineers, hosting providers, and anyone managing multiple domains who wants to spend less time and/or have more grip managing DNS records.

A little launch gift

To celebrate our Product Hunt launch, we're offering 50% off your first year (when paying annually) or 50% off your first three months (when paying monthly) with code HUNT50. All plans start with a 14-day free trial without needing your creditcard.

I'd love your feedback!

We're still early in our journey, and I'm especially curious for:

  1. What's your biggest frustration when managing DNS?

  2. Which DNS provider would you like us to support soon?

  3. Is there a feature you'd need before switching to a tool like Deenez?

I'll be around throughout the launch to answer questions, discuss ideas, and hear your feedback.

Thanks for checking out Deenez!

Who hunted Deenez?

Deenez was hunted by Ruud Schaaphuizen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
