Decato
AI that replaces the interior designer. Plan in, home out.
Decato replaces the interior designer. Not the taste: the month of work and the markup. Drop in a floor plan or describe the room; our own model reads it to ±10 cm. Name a budget and an agent furnishes every room from real products that fit, checked against your walls before anything lands. Every piece rendered at its exact size, no hallucinated furniture. Out: a purchase order, not a moodboard. Free for Mac on your own ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini key.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Aram, one of the two people building Decato.
Decato replaces the interior designer. Not the taste. The month of work and the markup. Floor plan and budget in, a home you can actually buy out.
A designer eyeballs it and bills you for a month. We measure it and do it in a session. The design decisions take an afternoon anyway; the rest is a floor-plan app, a spreadsheet, twenty retailer tabs and a 3D freelancer that don't know about each other. We built the thing that does the rest.
How it works:
→ Drop in a plan as a photo or PDF, or describe the place. Our own model reads it into a true-scale drawing, to about ±10 cm on a 200 m² house.
→ Say "furnish it" and name a number. The agent lays out every room from real products with the retailer's real dimensions, and checks walkways, door swings and clearances before anything is placed. If it doesn't fit, it swaps it.
→ It renders from that same geometry with our own render model, so every piece in the picture is at its exact size, and every piece in the picture is in the list.
→ You get the spec: item, retailer, size, price, running total. Here's a whole house done this way: decato.ai/florida-home
What's real today:
• Mac. Free to plan on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription.
• Paid plans add sourcing and renders, from $20.
• It works from a plan, not from a photo of your room.
• If you have your own suppliers, builders included, we can load your catalog and your prices. Write to me.
Try it on your own plan. Then tell me where it broke. That's the only review I want.
I actually liked it. The geometry barely warps, and it looks a lot more realistic than plain diffusion models.
