Dayle
Minimalist year progress & days countdown app for Android
Dayle brings clarity to your days. Track year progress with an interactive dot matrix, count down to meaningful moments, and pin Glance home screen widgets. Privacy-first, local storage, and zero ads or trackers.
I built Dayle because most countdown and time-tracking apps on mobile are bloated with intrusive ads, mandatory subscriptions, cloud accounts, and invasive analytics for something as simple and personal as tracking your own days.
Dayle was created around three core principles:
1. Visual Intentionality: An interactive 365/366-day dot matrix lets you see your year progress at a glance, giving perspective on how time is passing.
2. Minimalist Countdowns & Goals: Track upcoming events (or count up "days since") with precision down to the second, milestone progress rings, and versatile recurrence options.
3. Privacy & Offline First: 100% of your data stays on your device. There are zero ads, zero third-party trackers, zero analytics, and it works completely offline.
We also built native Jetpack Glance home screen widgets (compact 2x1 rings, dot grids, and upcoming lists) and durable offline reminders that survive device reboots without draining battery.
Dayle is free to use for up to 3 active items. For those who want more, an optional Lifetime Premium in-app purchase unlocks unlimited countdowns, 10 accessible WCAG AA palettes, and custom intervals. No recurring subscriptions.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and feature requests. What moments are you counting down to this year? ⏳
