I built DataBench because I kept losing time to the same small annoyance: every time I needed to check a regex, format some JSON, decode a JWT, or figure out a cron expression, it meant opening yet another single-purpose site, half of them ad-choked. So I bundled the ones I actually use into one place.
The part I'm most interested in feedback on is the regex generation: instead of writing a pattern yourself, you describe the task in plain English and get a working pattern back, with a plain-English breakdown of what it does and a set of test cases. It's meant to remove the "translate my requirement into regex syntax" step, not replace understanding what the pattern does.
A few honest notes upfront:
- The AI features are free but rate-limited (no account system, no paywall on anything)
- Regex/JSON/cron/hash all run 100% client-side nothing you paste in gets sent anywhere. Only the AI-backed features touch a server.
- It's a solo project no team, no funding. Would love feedback, especially anywhere the AI-generated pattern gets something wrong.
