DashMateAI
Mileage tracking that works even when your phone is dead
DashMateAI is a plug-in car device + app for people who drive for work. It logs every trip automatically over its own SIM. No start button, no phone battery. Swipe to sort business vs. personal, snap your gas receipt, and see your real profit per mile.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Jimmy, founder of DashMateAI.
I came to the US from Vietnam to study finance. To pay the bills, I drove for Uber. At the end of the year, I found out I'd missed thousands of business miles because my mileage app stopped tracking every time my phone died, overheated, or I forgot to hit "start."
Those missed miles are money drivers never get back.
So I built DashMateAI to work without the phone:
🔌 A small device plugs into your car and runs on the car's power
📡 It has its own built-in SIM, so trips upload even if your phone is off or at home
👉 Swipe right = business, swipe left = personal. A whole week sorted in about 30 seconds
⛽ Snap the gas pump or receipt and the app reads it for you
💵 Income minus gas and costs = what you actually take home, per trip, day, month
📄 Export a clean mileage report at tax time
🌎 App available in 10 languages
It's for rideshare and delivery drivers, and anyone who drives for work: real estate agents, contractors, home health aides, sales reps.
We're a tiny team in South Florida. Every kit ships in a reusable box with a few things I'd want as a driver: microfiber cloth, air fresheners, keychain.
🎁 Product Hunt special: [YOUR OFFER, e.g. code PH20 for 20% off the first year]
I'd love your honest feedback, especially:
• If you drive for work, what's the most annoying part of tracking miles?
• What would make you trust a device like this in your car?
I'll be here all day answering every comment. Thank you 🙏
