I had an old Android phone lying around doing nothing, so I thought—why not convert it into a reliable remote security/monitoring camera?
The hardest part was definitely handling Android’s background camera/mic permissions, battery drain, and keeping the stream stable.
Right now, the app is in closed beta testing. If you have a spare Android phone at home and want to try it out, I’d love your help!
How would you use a setup like this? Would really appreciate feedback and use-case ideas, especially from fellow Android devs and early testers.
