DarkWave
Dark mode for Sheets, Docs & the web—without broken photos
DarkWave gives Google Sheets, Docs, Slides and the web a calmer dark mode. It handles the canvas-rendered editor surface, keeps photos and media close to their natural appearance, leaves already-dark sites alone, and includes brightness, contrast, per-site controls and scheduling. The free extension makes no network requests and has no tracking.
I built DarkWave after repeatedly hitting the same gap: page-wide dark mode looked fine in articles but failed on the canvas-rendered parts of Google Sheets and Docs. The v1.4 release focuses on the presentation boundary instead—darkening the editor surface while keeping the document data path separate.

I’d especially value feedback from people who spend their day in Sheets or Docs.
