DapUp — The New Hello
Not another social app. Just the notification that matters.
DapUp reimagines real-world connection by removing the need to network. It works in the background, notifying you only when someone nearby shares a trusted contact. No scrolling, no profiles, just meaningful moments when they happen. With real-time proximity and trusted context, DapUp connects people effortlessly, turning everyday spaces into opportunities for real connection.
Hey everyone! Really excited to share DapUp with you all.
We built this as two NYC educators who kept seeing the same thing over and over. From colleagues to young adults, people surrounded by opportunity, but not actually connecting. Networking felt forced. Most apps made it worse.
So we asked a simple question: What if you didn’t have to try at all?
DapUp works in the background and notifies you ONLY when it matters. When someone nearby already knows someone you trust.
Curious what you all think? Would you rather discover connections actively, or have them surface naturally like this?
