DailyTrace 2.0 puts your calendar beside your records. Selected events show on Home: use one to prefill a past record, or start timing from it. DailyTrace never classifies events or changes your calendar. Also new: Undo resumes a timer you stopped by mistake, tap a timeline gap over 30 minutes to add a past record, redesigned weekly, monthly and yearly share posters, and Japanese on iPhone, widgets and Apple Watch. Records stay on your device. No account.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Feng, the maker of DailyTrace. DailyTrace is a simple time journal: tap an activity when you start it, and the day slowly draws its own shape. No goals, no scores, no account. The hard part of any time journal is remembering to tap, and filling in the past later is tedious. But a lot of that time is already in your calendar. So 2.0 shows the calendar events you choose right on Home. Tap one to prefill a past record with its time, pick an activity, save. Or start timing from an event that's about to begin. DailyTrace only reads events. It doesn't guess categories and it never writes to your calendar. Other things in 2.0: • Undo on Home, if you stopped or switched by mistake • Tap a gap longer than 30 minutes in today's timeline to add what happened • New share posters for week, month and year • Japanese on iPhone, widgets and Apple Watch Your data stays on your device. I'd love to hear how you use it and what feels missing.
