cyclic-prev
Cycle backward through indexes with zero dependencies
A tiny JavaScript utility for stepping backward through indexes, wrapping from the first position to the last. Great for previous-slide controls, repeating schedules, and game turns. Zero runtime dependencies, input validation, normalized indexes, CommonJS, ES modules, browser bundles, and TypeScript declarations.
Hi Product Hunt! cyclic-prev is the backward companion to cyclic-next. With five positions, stepping back from index 0 returns 4. It supports custom steps, validates safe integers, and keeps the result within the cycle. Use it for previous-slide buttons, weekdays, and game turns. The library has zero runtime dependencies and ships JavaScript bundles and TypeScript declarations. I would love your feedback on the API and examples.
