Today we're introducing 3 of our biggest ever changes to profiles on read.cv! Starting today you'll have access to a brand new writing tab, richer attachments, and more text formatting on your profile ✨
Hello everyone, it's been a minute since we've been on Product Hunt!
Today we're introducing a new writing tab on profiles—a dedicated space to publish blog posts, case studies, journal entries, creative writing, articles, tutorials, or anything word-related!
Our motivation for this feature was to address a challenge many people had with the first version of pages on read.cv: pages had to be attached to an experience on your profile. However, the things you want to write about don't always fit neatly into an experience on your profile.
With the introduction of the writing tab we are creating a separate space for your writing, making it completely optional to attach pages to experiences. This allows you to share more loosely formed thoughts, rather than just showing off past accomplishments and highlights.
We also wanted to take this moment to improve how attachments worked on your profile. Previously you had to make a choice of attaching images, or pages — never both. As of today you can attach any mix of images, videos, and multiple pages.
Lastly, we've also added a rich text editor for the about and description fields on your profile that supports numbered and bulleted lists, as well as hyperlinking. About time!
With the addition of the writing tab, infinite attachments, and richer formatting, we are sprinting towards our goal of turning profiles on read.cv into the perfect personal website for professionals. In addition to your profile, we will be working on an API and templates that let you power your personal website with your read.cv profile. Imagine updating your profile and personal website all at once — this unlocks the discoverability and reach of our network, coupled with the expression and customization of a personal website. We can't wait to share it with you!

This reminds me to go update my read.cv profile! Congrats on the launch, it looks absolutely beautiful!
It looks like a comfortable and secure environment for professionals. The platform is genuinely interesting - I came to check it out and ended up staying for hours. The atmosphere feels remarkably calm. Thanks for creating this platform, I'll definitely be joining.
Congratulations to the Read.cv Profiles 2.0 team on their exciting launch on Producthunt! The new features look incredibly impressive! As a smart suggestion, it might be interesting to add a recommendation tab where users can post reviews or testimonials. This might amplify trust and credibility on profiles. Keep on innovating!
This deserves product of the week. I love the read.cv and Posts communities. If you want a community of thoughtful and kind people who enjoy sharing and discussing their work, look no further. I've learned a ton by sharing and receiving feedback on Posts (primarily for design work), and when its time to update my professional profile online I now think of read.cv before LinkedIn. Wishing Andy and Mehdi the best as they keep building out this awesome product.
Constantly killing it with the updates! Mad kudos to Andy and the team as always!
Congrats on the launch @_andychung! I love using read.cv and the community is top tier. :)
I think the name makes people think it is for resumes and not a writing app.
Am I the only one that sees this?
Read.cv is an uncluttered LinkedIn, beautifully crafted. really enjoy using it. keep up your great work, @_andychung and team!
I wish I could give more than one upvote for read.cv! Amazing community and looking forward to the new features as well!
This is amazing, @_andychung!
Writing tab was something I was thinking about as a concept in one form or another, looking forward!
