CV Align
Match your CV to any job. Generate tailored applications.
Hi Product Hunt! I built CV Align because I needed it myself.
Over the last few months I've applied to more than 80 roles. Somewhere around number 30 I realised I was spending a lot of time guessing; opening a job description, opening my CV, and trying to manually work out how well I actually matched. Not in a "can I do this job" way, but in a "will a hiring manager or ATS see the overlap immediately" way.
Every tool I tried either gave me vague keyword matching or generated a CV that made me sound like someone I wasn't. I wanted something that would be honest with me: Tell me where I was strong, where I was weak, and help me present my real experience in the best light for that specific role.
So I built CV Align. It's a Chrome side panel that sits next to any job listing. Paste or upload the job description, and it scores your CV against it; matches score, matches skills, finds gaps, looks against your own preferences (things like office days vs your stated preferences). Pro users can generate a tailored CV and cover letter that uses only what's actually on their CV. Nothing invented.
Free tier is 5 analyses a month; enough to get a real feel for it. Pro is £4.99/month: 60 analyses + 40 document generations.
Would love your feedback, especially from anyone currently job hunting. That's exactly who I built this for.

CV Align was hunted by Aytan Hilmi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
