CutoutUp
Remove video backgrounds locally and keep the audio
CutoutUp removes video backgrounds directly in your browser without uploading your footage. Use AI to isolate people without a green screen, or color keying for products filmed against a solid backdrop. Preserve supported audio, export transparent WebM, or replace the background with a color or image. There's also a GIF background remover. Try it free with 3 daily tasks as a guest or 6 with a free account. No added watermark.
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm the indie developer behind CutoutUp.
I built CutoutUp to solve a frustrating problem: removing a video background is only half the job. You also need to preserve the audio, export a genuinely transparent video, and ideally avoid uploading private footage to a server.
Here's what CutoutUp offers:
- AI background removal for people, no green screen required
- Green screen removal for products and objects filmed against solid backgrounds
- Transparent WebM export with supported audio preserved
- Background replacement using colors or your own images
- Animated GIF background removal
- Local processing in your browser, without uploading your media
You can try it free with 3 daily tasks without signing up, or 6 with a free account. No added watermarks.
This is an early-stage product, and I'm actively improving the results and editing workflow.
I'd love your feedback:
1. How well does the background removal work on your videos?
2. Does transparent WebM work with your editing software?
3. What feature would make CutoutUp more useful to you?
Thanks for checking it out!
