I’m James, the maker of CutoutKit.
I built CutoutKit because removing an image background should be a short, predictable workflow: upload an image, wait a few seconds, and download a transparent PNG. Many existing tools add complicated editors, recurring subscriptions, or unclear image-storage policies around that simple task.
CutoutKit focuses on the essentials:
• Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP images
• Remove the background automatically
• Download a transparent PNG
• Get 3 free images every month
• Purchase 30-day credit packs only when you need more
• No persistent image storage by CutoutKit
Under the hood, the application runs on Next.js and Cloudflare. Google OAuth and Cloudflare D1 manage accounts and usage, while remove.bg performs the image processing. CutoutKit does not persist uploaded images or processed results; images are sent to remove.bg only to complete the requested processing.
I also chose one-time credit packs instead of automatic subscriptions, so occasional users do not have to manage another recurring payment.
This is the first production version, and I’d especially appreciate feedback on:
1. The upload and download experience
2. Cutout quality for products, portraits, hair, and fur
3. Whether the free allowance and credit-pack model are clear
4. What image editing feature should come next
