Describe what you want in plain English and get back an SVG, a DXF and a transparent PNG in about a minute. Real closed vector paths, not a traced image, so it cuts on Cricut, Silhouette, Glowforge, xTool, LightBurn and CNC. First design free, no account.

Hi Folks,

I run a small SVG cut file shop. The request that kept coming up was for a design that didn't exist yet, and the obvious fix, an image model, doesn't work.

A cutting machine doesn't read pictures. It follows outlines: closed paths, one colour, no strokes, no embedded raster, and nothing so thin the blade tears it or the laser burns straight through. Ask most tools for "an SVG" and you get a PNG in an SVG wrapper. It opens fine, it imports fine, and then Design Space treats it as an image and there's nothing to cut.

So the interesting part here isn't the generation. It's everything after it: turning the output into geometry a machine will actually accept.

From one prompt you get an SVG, a DXF and a transparent PNG. The DXF is there because almost everything in this space aims at Cricut and forgets that laser, CNC, plasma and ScanNCut owners have the same problem and can't open an SVG at all. It runs as a chat, so you can say "make the log more detailed" or "drop the leaves" and the next one builds on the last.

Being straight about the limits: it produces single-colour silhouettes, not multi-colour illustration, and it's poor at anything photographic. Bold graphic work is where it's good.

First design is free and needs no account. I'd like to know where it falls over.

Who hunted CutFileVault?

CutFileVault was hunted by Andy Barnes. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
