Cue
IDE-style command suggestions for Apple Terminal and VS Code
Cue brings IDE-style autocomplete to your terminal. It suggests commands, options, Git branches, files, and folders as you type, with helpful descriptions right beside them. I built Cue because I loved Fig’s autocomplete and wanted that experience back after Kiro announced its retirement. Cue is free, open source, and built on Fig’s community-maintained autocomplete specs. It currently supports macOS with zsh in Apple Terminal and the VS Code integrated terminal.
hey everyone! i built cue because i missed fig’s autocomplete.
i use the terminal every day for uni labs, side projects, and git, and fig made all of that feel a little more like working in an ide: suggestions appeared as i typed, with useful details right there. after kiro announced it was retiring inline autocomplete on nov 3, i wanted to bring that experience back.
cue is my open-source attempt, built on fig’s autocomplete specs. it’s still a work in progress, so i’d love to hear what feels useful, what’s rough, and what you’d like to see next. thanks for checking it out!

Cue was hunted by Tham Kei Lok. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
