Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) with a single curl command — no OpenSSL installs, no config files, no signup, no API key. The CSR and private key are returned as JSON. Open-source and MIT-licensed, with example scripts in curl, Bash, Python, and JavaScript. Free with a per-IP rate limit. The same domain also hosts a CSR decoder, SSL check, and certificate expiry monitor. Never fight openssl req flags or a misformatted -subj value again.

Top comment

Hi everyone! I built CSR.plus because I got tired of fighting openssl req flags every time I ordered a certificate — especially the -subj format and SAN handling. The tool generates a CSR and private key with one curl command, right in your browser, with no signup or API key. The API is also open source (MIT) with examples in curl, Bash, Python, and JavaScript. I'd love feedback on the API design, docs, or anything else — happy to answer questions here!

Who hunted CSR.plus?

CSR.plus was hunted by Steve. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
