cs.AI (ChopsticksAI)
No API key. No hallucinations. Just honest answers.
Most AI assistants answer confidently whether they actually know or not. cs.AI does the opposite — it grounds every answer in a curated knowledge base, runs a web search first, and has a second model review for accuracy before responding.
The offline fallback is genuinely clever. When the API is unreachable, you still get answers from the on-device knowledge base instead of just an error. And no API key required — it's handled server-side, which means better security and zero setup friction.
The dual-model approach (Nemotron drafting + Gemma reviewing) is a smart way to get quality without blowing up costs. The fact that they ship the full source and test fixtures shows real confidence in what they've built.
My only question: how does it handle topics outside the 60 curated ones? Does it degrade gracefully or just search?
Either way, this solves a real problem. Looking forward to trying it.
