Free, no signup, no watermark.
Hey Product Hunters 👋
We used Google's Sqoosh all the time. It's a great compressor, and we'd open it several times a week to shrink images for our websites. But we kept running into two things:
1. No cropping. Every time, we had to open another app to crop, export, and then drag the file into Sqoosh. It was two tools for one simple job.
2. The export format we needed wasn't there. [NAME THE EXACT FORMAT OR OPTION YOU WERE MISSING]
So we built CropShrink, the tool we wished Sqoosh was:
✂️ Crop first. Freeform or fixed aspect ratios, in the same editor.
🎯 Compress to a target size. Say "under 100 KB" and it finds the best quality that fits. That's handy for upload forms with size limits.
📐 Ready-made sizes. 1080×1080, 1200×630 (OG images), YouTube thumbnails, Instagram, LinkedIn.
🧹 Privacy built in. It strips EXIF and GPS data on export and shows you what metadata the original had.
🔒 100% in your browser. Your images never leave your device. Open the Network tab and check for yourself.
It's free, with no account, watermark or daily limit.
Coming next: movable crop handles and batch processing. What should we add after that? We'd love your feedback 🙏

CropShrink was hunted by christoph. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
