AI assistants build the app but they can't host it, give it a database, or let you share it. Croft gives Claude, ChatGPT, & Grok a place to deploy apps so you can go from idea to app in minutes.

I have a spreadsheet that I use for my monthly budget but I wanted to keep it current with bank statement uploads so I asked Claude to turn the spreadsheet into an app. It did so but didnt have anywhere to deploy it which is why I created Croft. Another early use of Croft is an investment analyst and had used Claude to create a financial model for evaluating investments. The only way he could share this model with his team was by sending an HTML file downloaded from Claude. After over 100 iterations of the model the team were getting confused. He connected Croft and asked Claude to deploy it as an app and share with several people and within minutes they now have a secure financial model with access controls and everyone gets the latest version. Croft takes care of deploying and hosting the app, it also makes security super simple and manages user login and access. On top of that Croft does database backups and keeps versions of the code that is deployed so it can be rolled back or restored in an instant.

Solid idea! I’ve made a few apps in Claude so signed up to check it out. Like how it just works & I can share my apps with others now

Who hunted Croft?

Croft was hunted by Rich Chetwynd. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
